Behind the Scenes: the Galley and Restyled Buffet
Today, we wanted to share some information regarding on board dining, with an exclusive behind the scenes peak into our kitchen and food storage areas.
Before we show you all the wonderful images, we would like to fill you in on some fantastic changes that we have made to our buffet area. These changes are to be made first on MSC Splendida, MSC Fantasia and MSC Poesia, and will be rolled out across our entire fleet soon.
We now have flexible operating times. In fact, the buffet is now open 20 hours a day from 6am to 2am. We’ve also made the feel of the buffet more “market like” in honour of our Mediterranean roots.
When on board, you will now see the following fabulous sections in the buffet areas:
- Salad & fruit corner
- Carving show area
- Take away grill
- Pizza corner
- Pasta station
- Bakery, with preparation visible preparing the daily bread made on-board
- Mediterranean corner with a full deli including cheeses and cold meets
- Daily specials area
- An ethnic corner, tailored to the destination of the ship on the given day
- And, of course, a yummy dessert corner
