7 Nights Cruising on MSC Preziosa
As MSC Preziosa sails on her maiden 7 night Mediterranean cruise, we thought we should give you the highlights of this amazing itinerary on our beautiful new jewel.
Day 1: Genoa, Italy: Cradled between land and sea with a working port, the Italian holiday destination of Genoa on the west coast of Italy showcases her past with her many palaces surrounded by ancient terraced hills. It’s also just a stone’s throw from the world famous Cinque Terre Coast, where colourful ancient villages drip off the cliffs like rainbows into the sea.

Day 2: Naples, Italy: While Milan may be home to all things chic, Florence to all that is worthy in art and Rome to historical grandeur, Naples can outdo them all in one count with its sheer ‘Napoletanità’! Naples offers a mix of breathtaking beauty and a strong sense of life being lived to its limits. From here you can visit icons such as Pompei, Capri, Vesuvius, Sorrento, or enjoy some pizza in the home of the world’s favourite dish.
Day 3: Messina (Sicily), Italy: A stopover in Messina allows you to visit Europe’s highest and most famous active volcano, Mount Etna, and the Silvestri craters. Those in search of a spiritual dimension to their holiday may like to visit the ‘picture-perfect’ town of Tindari, which is home to the ancient black Madonna. Enjoy the delicious local dessert cannoli, or take a ride on a Sicilian carretto, an intricately decorated horse and carriage

Day 4: Tunis, Tunisa: The Tunisian capital, consists of three cities: the modern Capital City, with wide streets, skyscrapers and busy sidewalk cafes; the Arabic Medina (Old Town) built in the Middle Ages, boasting an exciting labyrinth laden with secrets, narrow alleyways, small shops, huge mosques and palaces; and finally Carthage, the ancient Phoenician – Roman city that was once a seat of incredible wealth and power, lying 18 km from the city. Day 6: Barcelona, Spain: The Catalan city on Spain’s Mediterranean south coast is famous for the architecture of Gaudi and as 1992 Olympic host city. This beaming World City offers guests the perfect city retreat. Take in a flamenco show, visit Montserrat, walk inside Gaudi’s Cathedral, hike Collserola National Park, or shop until you drop. You won’t be disappointed by this Spanish Mecca.
Day 7: Marseille, France: The last port of call on MSC Preziosa’s 7 night Western Mediterranean cruise, Marseille’s unique blend of French and Mediterranean cultures is a treat for new comers. The gateway to Provence, visit Avignon, the city of Popes. Home to 7 Popes from 1305 until 1378 in a move from Rome, the architecture and history of this UNESCO World Heritage site is jaw dropping and kept perfectly intact.
